Monica Monreal, CPCS

Monica Monreal is a Credentialing Consultant with Chartis Clinical Quality Solutions. She brings more than 24 years of healthcare executive and management experience leading Medical Staff Services departments, advising hospitals and healthcare systems. Her work is concentrated in strategic planning, compliance, operational execution, technology integration, and optimization. Her expertise includes strategy development, business planning, organizational design, workflow analysis, operational readiness, and operational management. 

Monica’s recent engagement includes a successful long-term Medical Staff Services Department business process outsource project for a large, multi-facility acute care health system in South Texas. Working collaboratively with Chartis Clinical Quality Solutions and leadership, Monica spearheaded a multi-disciplinary approach that systematically improved turnaround times, streamlined processes, and significantly improved engagement across the organization. Monica worked with leadership to launch an enterprise-wide credentialing, privileging, and provider information management platform to create a paper-free work environment. 

Monica is a member of the National Association of Medical Staff Services and Texas Society for Medical Staff Services Specialist. 

Monica received her Bachelor of Science from Colorado Technical University. She is accredited as a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS).
