Physician Leadership Advancement

We develop the tools to optimize physician and dyad leadership performance, including organized medical staff leaders and the growing cadre of medical directors and physician executives across the hospital, employed physician group, service lines, and other clinically integrated structures. These include enhanced position descriptions, performance expectations, accountability reporting, required competencies, and key metrics/targets against which to measure performance. We train and coach leaders to perform at the highest possible level. 

We work with organizations to drive continuous improvement in provider performance for the organized medical staff, employment, service lines, and clinically integrated networks. This means getting providers to do the right thing the first time every time, both in clinical care and professional conduct.

We support and mentor physician leaders, and work with their dyad/triad partners as needed, to:

• Advance leader performance to drive value for the organization
• Further advance a leader’s potential
• Address specific performance concerns

We blend empathy, experience, and accountability as we facilitate leadership development, and performance.

Disruptive physician behavior, poor and marginal clinical care and other chronic performance problems consume physician leadership time and energy. We assess provider conduct or clinical care and work with leaders to develop and implement a clear action plan to either help the provider improve or engineer their exit. We coach leaders in how to conduct difficult interventions with problem physicians and participate in these interventions as needed.
