Fernando Trevino is a Consultant for Chartis Clinical Quality Solutions with 24 years of experience in regulatory compliance. His expertise includes the identification and implementation of clinical care processes to improve, monitor, and sustain patient safety. His clinical experience supervising and leading respiratory therapy and other ancillary departments enables him to focus organizations’ efforts to achieve clinical and operational improvements.
He supports his clients with the regulatory requirements for behavioral health, imaging, nuclear medicine, respiratory therapy, kitchen services, and elements of the environment of care. He has been instrumental in the success of multiple compliance projects, helping clients bring organizational practices in line with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Conditions of Participation and achieving positive survey outcomes.
Fernando is a past President of the Texas State Respiratory Care Association and has served on their board for nine years.
Prior to joining the firm, Fernando served as the President and CEO of three certified outpatient rehabilitation facilities in the State of Texas. He also served as Supervisor of the County Trauma Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Fernando received his Associate of Science in respiratory therapy from The University of Texas and is a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
